SENGKANG, Penarakyat.com –Peredaraan narkotika di Kabupaten Wajo masih terbilang tinggi. Peredaran narkoba di daerah yang dijuluki kota santri ini masih berada di urutan ketiga di Sulsel. Hingga Januari-Oktober sudah 79 kasus yang diungkap Polres Wajo.
Dari 79 kasus tersebut sebanyak 94 tersangka yang diamankan terdiri dari 91 lelaki dan 3 wanita. Dari 79 kasus tersebut barang bukti yang diamankan sebanyak 126 gram sabu, tiga linting ganja, dan dua butir ekstasi.
Tingginya angka kasus narkoba di Wajo meningkat dari tahun 2014. Terbuktinya tersangka yang diamankan meningkat 24 kasus dari tahun lalu.Kasus yang terungkap tahun 2014 sebanyak 46 kasus dengan 60 tersangka.
Kapolres Wajo, AKBP M Guntur mengatakan, dari data BNP, Wajo berada diperingkat ketiga di Sulsel dan Polres menjadi peringkat ketiga pengungkapan kasus di jajaran Polda Sulsel.
“Rata-rata yang kami tangkap adalah pengedar dan barang bukti yang paling tinggi di tangkap di daerah Anabanua sebanyak 50 gram,” katanya.
Mantan Kapolres Palopo ini menambahkan, untuk daerah paling tinggi ada tiga daerah yang rawan. Seperti Kecamatan Tempe, Kecamatan Pitumpanua, dan Kecamatan Belawa.
“Kita memang konsisten melakukan pemberantasan narkoba, baik mencegah dengan cara sosialisasi maupun melakukan pemberantasan,” ujarnya.
Ketua BNK Kabupaten Wajo, Andi Syahrir Kube Dauda, juga megakui tingginya kasus narkoba di Wajo.
“Kalau melihata tingginya pemakai narkoba di wajo maka perintah kedepan melibatkan mubaligh dalam melakukan sosialisasi dan penyadaran bahaya narkoba,” katanya. (cr1)
